Prague, 27 May 2014 – AAA AUTO invited journalists from specialist, lifestyle and professional titles across a broad range of media types to visit its Prague branch. The list included journalists from TV stations, magazines, dailies and on-line media. The participants were able to get a detailed look at the way the used car business is run at AAA AUTO and to appreciate the firm’s exceptional professionalism and know-how.
The journalists were taken to AAA AUTO’s showroom, viewing the purchase and sales departments and the call centre, as well as completing test drives in selected models, including the TESLA Model S, which is sold under the Mototechna Premium brand.
The formal program kicked off with a press conference at AAA AUTO’s headquarters in Prague. “The Russian journalists surprised my colleagues and me personally with their comprehensive knowledge of our company and their searching questions. The questions were detailed and reflected the problems of Russia’s fragmented market in used vehicles. AAA AUTO´s challenge is to change the current situation and strengthen its position as a market leader, improving the quality of the used-car business in Russia,” said Karolína Topolová, AAA AUTO’s CEO.
During the press conference, AAA AUTO demonstrated its buying and selling processes and inspection procedures, and in particular its rigorous purchasing inspections, which cover 108 parameters for every vehicle offered to the company. AAA AUTO only buys cars that meet its tough criteria, which means up to 65% of cars are rejected due to their poor mechanical state or legal concerns. Mrs Topolová expressed the view that the Russian market would follow the West European model and change from the current situation of trading between individuals to a professionalized business, led by large used car dealers like AAA AUTO, as is now the case in Central Europe.
“The visit was a great opportunity to learn more about the trade in used cars, which is carried out at the highest professional level.
